General
We use high-quality materials including gold-filled beads—a more affordable alternative to solid gold that’s durable, tarnish-resistant, and hypoallergenic. With proper care, gold-filled jewelry maintains its luster beautifully over time. We also use sterling silver, which can be easily polished with a soft cloth to restore shine.
Gold-filled jewelry is created by bonding a layer of 10k, 12k, or 14k gold onto a brass or sterling silver core using heat and pressure. It's not an alloy but a layered material, available as single-clad (one side) or double-clad (gold on both sides). It's durable and of higher quality than gold-plated metals.
Yes, though it's rare. Tarnishing happens when extreme exposure to sulfur-rich chemicals (like polluted environments, nail salons, or smoke) reaches the brass beneath and causes irreversible blackening. For most everyday wear, it’s highly durable. If tarnishing does occur, cleaning can’t restore the gold layer—it must be replated.
